GD TradeWeb is the business name used for this website and provides website services for UK tradespeople. For privacy questions or requests, contact us using the Email button or enquiry form on the main website contact section.
2. Information we collect
When you use our enquiry form, we may collect information you choose to provide, including:
- your name;
- business or trading name;
- trade or type of business;
- service area or location;
- phone number or email address; and
- the content of your enquiry or project requirements.
Our form provider may also process technical information needed to deliver and protect the form service, such as IP address, browser information and anti-spam/security data.
3. Why we use your information
We use enquiry information to:
- respond to your enquiry;
- prepare a quotation or service proposal you requested;
- communicate with you about the requested website service;
- prevent spam, abuse and security problems; and
- keep reasonable business records where needed.
Our lawful basis is normally our legitimate interests in responding to genuine business enquiries and running our service. Where you ask us to prepare or discuss a service before an agreement is made, processing may also be necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.
We do not use the enquiry form to add you to a marketing mailing list unless you separately ask for or agree to marketing.
4. Formspree and service providers
Website enquiry submissions are processed using Formspree. Formspree receives the information submitted through the form so it can deliver the submission and provide spam/security filtering.
Formspree states that its services are hosted using infrastructure in the United States and that it relies on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as a data processor for GDPR-related international transfers. You can read more in Formspree's Privacy Policy and Security information.
We may also use Supabase to store enquiry and project-workflow records and SumUp to process secure deposit payments after a project has been approved. Card details are entered directly into SumUp's hosted payment environment; GD TradeWeb does not receive or store your full card number.
We may also use normal email and hosting providers to operate the website and respond to enquiries. We do not sell your personal information.
5. How long we keep information
We keep enquiry information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected. If an enquiry does not become a customer relationship, we normally aim to delete or anonymise it within 12 months.
If you become a customer, relevant correspondence and business records may be kept for longer where reasonably necessary for the service, accounting, tax, legal or dispute-resolution purposes.
6. Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances and the lawful basis used, UK data protection law may give you rights to ask for access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, restriction of processing, and in some situations data portability.
Where we rely on legitimate interests, you can object to our processing of your personal information. We will consider your request in line with applicable UK data protection law.
