1. An enquiry is not an order
Sending an enquiry does not create a paid contract, commit you to buy a website, or require GD TradeWeb to accept a project.
If both sides decide to proceed, the project scope, price, payment terms, expected timescale and any additional project terms will be agreed separately before paid work starts.
2. Enquiries and quotations
After receiving an enquiry, we may ask for more information before recommending a package or preparing a quotation. An enquiry does not guarantee that GD TradeWeb will accept the project.
We may decline enquiries that are incomplete, abusive, unlawful, misleading, technically impractical, outside the services we offer, or appear to be submitted in bad faith.
3. Information you provide
You are responsible for providing reasonably accurate information about your business, services, qualifications, service area, prices and contact details.
You should not ask us to publish claims that are false, misleading or unlawful. We may ask for clarification or evidence before using claims about qualifications, memberships, guarantees, reviews or similar trust information.
4. Photos, logos, reviews and other content
If you provide photos, logos, text, reviews, graphics or other material, you confirm that you own it, have permission to use it, or otherwise have the right to provide it for use on your website.
You remain responsible for obtaining any permissions needed for customer photos, testimonials, trademarks or third-party content that you supply.
5. Pricing shown on the website
Package prices shown on the website describe the standard scope of those packages. The final price for a project may change where you request work outside the package scope, paid third-party services, extra pages, extra revisions, specialist functionality or other additions.
Any additional cost will be discussed before that additional work is carried out. Submitting an enquiry by itself does not authorise a charge.
6. Timings
Any timescale discussed at enquiry stage is an estimate unless a specific delivery date is later agreed. Project timing may depend on how quickly you provide content, approvals, feedback, access details and other information needed to complete the work.
7. Results and marketing performance
We aim to build professional websites that clearly present a business and make it easy for potential customers to make contact. We do not guarantee a particular number of enquiries, leads, search rankings, sales, revenue or other commercial result.
Search-engine rankings and third-party platforms are outside our direct control and can change over time.
8. Third-party services
A future website may use third-party services such as domain registrars, hosting providers, email services, maps, analytics, form providers or other integrations. Their availability, pricing and policies are controlled by those providers.
Any paid third-party service that you are expected to pay for will be identified before it is added to the agreed project.
9. Intellectual property at enquiry stage
Your existing business materials remain yours or the property of their respective owners. The free preview and any original design concepts supplied by GD TradeWeb remain GD TradeWeb material unless and until the parties agree otherwise as part of a paid project.
Final ownership and licence terms for a paid website will be stated in the project agreement or quotation.
10. Our responsibility
Nothing in these Enquiry Terms is intended to exclude or restrict liability that cannot legally be excluded.
At the enquiry stage, GD TradeWeb is not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate material you provide, third-party outages, or decisions you make before a project scope and paid work have been formally agreed.
11. Privacy
Personal information submitted through the form is handled as described in our Privacy Notice.
12. If a paid project goes ahead
These Enquiry Terms are not intended to replace the terms for a paid website project. Before paid work starts, the parties should agree the selected package or scope, price, payment schedule, revisions, responsibilities, delivery arrangements and any cancellation terms that apply to that project.
If a customer is legally acting as a consumer rather than buying wholly for business purposes, applicable UK consumer rights still apply and cannot be removed by these terms.
13. Project approval and deposit
Submitting an enquiry does not create a paid contract. If GD TradeWeb accepts the project, we may send a written project approval confirming the selected package, project price and deposit.
For standard Starter, Business and Pro projects, the normal deposit is 50% of the package price. Work starts only after the project has been accepted, the applicable terms have been agreed and the required deposit has been received.
Any cancellation, refund or consumer cancellation rights that apply will be handled in accordance with the project agreement and applicable UK law. Nothing in these terms removes rights that cannot legally be excluded.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Enquiry Terms for future enquiries. The version that applies to an enquiry is the version published when that enquiry is submitted.
